Cattiness & Neighbors

I am finally getting used to having 5 classes in a day. That's a comforting thought, since I've been relying on candy and caffeine to keep me awake, which is so bad for me and just an awful habit to get into. But other than that it was pretty interesting, had lunch with J, my best college guy friend, where the service was slow but the conversation was interesting as always, found out that my least favorite college couple, C and M, broke up. Why are they my least favorite? Let me give a quick rundown of the situation:
-I knew M a long time ago (middle school) we briefly 'dated'
-We got back in touch when we found out we were going to the same college and that he was going to be living in my dorm
-C and I met online (also same college obviously), and hit it off
-C, M, and I all ended up in the same group of friends
-my crush on M came back and I had it on good authority he was also interested
-then I noticed that C and M were hanging out more, and got a little suspicious
-around this time I noticed C was trying to edge me out of the group
-and then one day the group refused to talk to me and the two of them were dating

Also, right before they broke up she unfriended me on Facebook, which I giggled over for a good five minutes, since cattiness is so funny to me.

Oh, and finally talked to my next-door neighbor L, who seems very cool and I am anticipating when both of us will be home so we can meet in person, always nice to make new friends, especially ones in convenient proximity.

Okay, so a little more on the corset front, since baking is going to have to wait for the weekend: people ask me about the corset fairly frequently, although unfortunately most people think it's a bustier (tip: bustiers are bedroom-only and have cups, my corset is of the underbust variety), my male friends think it looks pretty damn good, even my best college guy friend, J, says that he keeps trying to look at my face but gets distracted, but him saying that makes me laugh, which causes boob jiggle-age, which causes him to stare, etc, etc. Not to mention my mom and her friend Pam like to comment on it. Thankfully I am not uncomfortable with people looking at my assets, quite the opposite really. But back to the corset information: I wear it anywhere from 12 to 24 hours in a day, it is quite comfortable although you have to adjust your way of moving about, and other benefits besides the long-term one of the waist training are that since it compresses your stomach you eat less, which over time causes you to lose weight. There are a fews cons, but they're negligible, such as the fact that you have to be extra-careful about moisturizing and your friends no longer get to tickle you.

One thing that is boggling my mind over the current semester is how my classes keep entwining with each other. Honestly, in Ethics we're studying Hinduism, in History we just started in on reading the Bhagavad Gita and learning about Hindus, later we will be reading Antigone, while coincidentally shows up in English! What the hell, really. Also, keep thinking about T. Haven't seen him in two years, haven't talked to him in a few weeks, he's the one ex that I can never really seem to have genuine disdain for, which might be because of his adorable/irritating awkwardness. -sigh- Am tempted to call and ask how he's doing but last time I did I wasn't quite in a right state of mind and pretended I had dialed the wrong number. Ugh. Also, dying to go running full-tilt through the woods but that will have to wait til I go home for the weekend since at home the woods are my backyard. Also, increasingly frustrated with how far away college gym is from my dorm, it's like 3/4 of a mile, but on a 17-hour schedule it's too much of a time commitment most of the time. Ah well, just one more thing I can do at home, eh?

I've been getting more and more interested in two very different topics lately: the baking of delicious things, and waist training, by which I mean wearing a corset every day and gradually being able to lace it tighter. Eventually this shapes your waist into a permanently smaller shape, giving you a fabulous hourglass figure. Note that by corset, I don't mean the Victoria's Secret, lace-trimmed, bedroom-only type of corset. For instance, my corset has three layers of fabric, two of cotton and one of black leather, steel stays, reinforced grommets, and is made of a design from the 1800s. And my love affair with baking started about a year and halfish to two years ago, so I suppose that doesn't technically count as just now becoming interested, but I have decided to recount my exploits on the web rather than boring my non-foodie friends with how I just made the most divine confection of peppermint meringue, chocolate cake soaked with peppermint syrup, and a downright velvety chocolate buttercream. I have no idea whether or not anyone will read this, but what the hell, why not? Plus, the fact that I'm a second-semester college freshman who has a lot of thoughts running around my head and writing them down will hopefully help with...something. So what am I doing right now? Right now I'm lying on my bed in my dorm room, made improbably comfortable due to the fact that I have a featherbed on it, Adult Swim is playing in the background, and now I believe I am going to go take a shower.
